About the Project
With significant housing developments anticipated in Bedford and Dartmouth, and limited opportunities to enhance constrained corridors, new connections can help disperse more concentrated travel demand and provide multi-modal options for these new communities.
To start, the province is moving forward with a multi-modal connector between Highway 101 at Exit 2 and the Hammonds Plains Road.

- Supports multi-modal transportation options and facilitates improved connections.
STATUS
The province has issued a request for proposals for an environmental assessment for a new 5 km connector road between Hammonds Plains Road near Sandy Lake with Highway 101 at Exit 2.
Link Nova Scotia is supporting the Department of Public Works by completing travel demand modelling, which provides information on the regional impacts of both future transportation and housing in the area.
