About the Project
A well-functioning Freight Advisory Committee can build institutional knowledge, increase capacity, standardize data collection and improve operations. It is also a mechanism that can allow for proactive management of any issues that arise related to goods movement. The committee could help guide the implementation of goods movement actions from the Regional Transportation Plan and ensures that industry and public agencies are aligned on matters related to strategic projects that require multiple partners and other issues related to the efficient movement of goods across the province.

Action 2.1.1: Establish a Freight Advisory Committee.
Establishing a committee with representatives from industry, Link Nova Scotia, and its Core Partners will improve coordination and collaboration and provide expert insight for decision-making on investments and supportive policies to enhance the Region’s goods movement network.
