About the Project
Providing additional ways to access transit services (like providing sidewalks or active transportation infrastructure) gives options to travellers, reduces demand on the road network, and extends the reach of transit services. This means even more people can access a future integrated transit network. It also helps to connect new transit infrastructure to existing communities.

Action 1.3.4: Facilitate first mile / last mile connections to inter-municipal and rapid transit service.
Infrastructure like sidewalks and multi-use paths to connect to inter-municipal and rapid transit service will provide new options for riders to safely access these services and further help to reduce travel costs.
